Meghan MacDonald

Meghan MacDonaldInstructional Principal, embraces the EL philosophy because it inspires a love of learning and prepares students to make a positive impact in their own lives and in the world around them.  She was a 4th grade classroom teacher in EL schools for eight years and was an instructional coach for two years before stepping into the position of principal at DDES.

Meghan has a B.A. in Sociology and Peace and Conflict Studies, a certification in Linguistically Diverse Education, and an M.A. in Educational Psychology. She began her career in education as an Outdoor Education Instructor at Balarat, a program serving 5th grade and high school students throughout the Denver area. She has taught English as Second Language while living in Ecuador and has spent six years as a director of a language immersion, service learning, and adventure summer program for high school students in Costa Rica and Panama. Meghan is a Colorado native and loves to get out and play in the Rocky Mountains, where her favorite toys are her snowboard,  mountain bike and raft. She is thrilled to be part of the DDES Community!
